Rickman orchestrated his own kidnapping, beating and “death” with the assistance of Akthar Durrani and Vazir Kassar, two corrupt employees from the Foreign Relations division of the Pakistani Inter-Service Intelligence; Darren Sickles, the C.I.A.’s station chief in Afghanistan; Joel Wilson, the deputy director of Intelligence from the FBI; and U.S. Senator Carl Ferris. This plot that was executed to distract the C.I.A. from their mission of reintegrating Afghanistan. However, because Rapp is suspicious of Rickman’s disappearance from the beginning, he investigates and ultimately figures out the entire plot. Thanks to a double-crossing Kassar, Rapp and his men find Rickman in his hideout at Durrani’s home, where Rapp shoots his Rickman execution-style. Kassar does likewise to Durrani. Sickles, Wilson and Ferris are exposed and made accountable for their crimes.

Bad language is used throughout. Rapp's pregnant wife was murdered while he was overseas. He about to bed a woman but nothing comes of it,
