
In this novel new detectives appear: a couple of exotic and original investigators. They are Henry Parker and Sandra Britland whose nickname is Sunday. He is an ex-president of the United States, retired, millionaire and with a life in high society. She is his new wife who is very intelligent, beautiful and elegant. She is seventeen years younger than Henry and has just been re-elected congresswoman. They love each other very much and form a magnificent team to solve crimes of the high social and political class of their country.
It contains four short, easy-to-read stories that engage from the start because they are entertaining, suspenseful and intriguing. Sunday is especially funny and entertaining. The first, A Crime of Passion, centers on the detectives helping a former White House associate of Henry's, whom the police accuse of murdering his mistress in a fit of passion. In the second, Everybody's Looking for the President's Wife, Henry is confronted with the kidnapping of his wife Sunday. The Secret of Columbia is the third: the subject is the mysterious disappearance of the Prime Minister of Costa Barria 30 years ago. Finally, Merry Christmas, is the first Christmas party spent as husband and wife in the Britland family home and they search for the identity of a lonely and abandoned child in their garden.
