A girl who grew up in an orphanage has an anonymous benefactor who pays her studies on the college. In return, he asks her to write him a letter per month, without waiting for an answer. The girl keeps her part of the deal (she has a talent for writing stories), telling him about her colleagues, friends, the life at the college, and wandering who will be her mysterious benefactor, who she calls Daddy-Long-Legs. The idea that the author wishes to pass is simply this: those who suffer from lack of resources, can also be successful in life, if given an opportunity. The book is based on the life of an intimate friend of the author.
