This fine book is the compendium of Pope Benedict’s Cycle of Catechesis (July 2 2008 – February 4 2009) on the great Apostle Saint Paul following the year dedicated by the Church to Saint Paul. We get a grasp of the Paul’s mission to make Jesus Christ’s message known and appreciated over time and space. The Apostle accomplished this by his extraordinary dedication in applying his mind, heart and talents into sharing with so many people and so effectively the lights he received. Clearly his sense of mission and detachment motivated him to invest sweat and blood spent hiking endlessly in abominable conditions and without the least taint of human respect. Pope Benedict’s teaching is not light reading as it raises one’s knowledge to a higher level so we understand the reasons why Saint Paul’s writings make up half the contents of the New Testament. A short book to read, from a great theologian and the easy way to attain deeper religious culture.
