A selfish and unbearable girl is sent for a country house in the Yorkshire, and left to herself. Starting to explore the house she finds out a sick boy hidden from her; and exploring the park, she discovers a walled and enclosed garden where no one is allowed to go. A friendly bird shows her the entrance of this secret garden, and its magic will heal her selfishness, and change the children's lifes.
