It is a particularly good thriller. The plot opens with the heinous murder of Dr. Lash, a prestigious doctor and hospital director. Everything points to the fact that it was his wife Molly Carpenter. She is sentenced to prison where she spent 5 years. She suffers from amnesia and remembers nothing of what happened that terrible night at home. Once released, with the help of a lawyer and a very skilled journalist, she decides to search for the truth, even if the road leads her to death's door.

The intrigue is thrilling, engaging from the beginning to the end, which is unpredictable and powerful. The main characters have a magnificent profile, all of them seem to be hiding something. The tension rises because there are many suspects and unexpected crimes keep happening. It has rightly been considered a "best seller" and a Canadian production company made a TV show with the plot of the book. Highly recommended for mystery lovers.
